Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother renovated and restored Barrogill Castle and gardens. She spent many happy summers here. The castle and gardens, animal centre, gift shop and tea room are open to the public over the summer and at some other times during the year.

Seadrift - Dunnet Visitor Centre
The Highland Council run centre has displays of plants, animals, birds and dolphins of the north. There are also hands-on activities for children.
